A compendium of the Theravāda Buddhist philosophy and meditation, the Visuddhimagga, meaning "Path of Purification (清净道论)", was written in Sri Lanka in the early 5th century AD by Venerable Buddhaghosa (觉音尊者).
Malesu dosamalaṃ tatiyañāṇavajjhaṃ, itarāni catutthañāṇavajjhāni.
于「垢」中：瞋垢是第三智所断。其余的（贪、痴）是第四智所断。
Ñ(XXII,74): In the case of the stains, the stain of hate is eliminated by the third knowledge, the others are eliminated by the fourth knowledge.
