Apica samādhikammikassa balavatīpi saddhā vaṭṭati. Evaṃ saddahanto okappento appanaṃ pāpuṇissati.
然而对于修定业之人，信力强亦适合，如果信赖彼可证得安止定。
Ñ(IV,48): Again, [concentration and faith should be balanced]. One working on concentration needs strong faith, since it is with such faith and confidence that he reaches absorption.
Samādhipaññāsu pana samādhikammikassa ekaggatā balavatī vaṭṭati. Evañhi so appanaṃ pāpuṇāti.
于定慧中，对于修定业者一境性强亦可，如是他可证得安止定；
Ñ: Then there is [balancing of] concentration and understanding. One working on concentration needs strong unification, since that is how he reaches absorption;
Vipassanākammikassa paññā balavatī vaṭṭati. Evañhi so lakkhaṇapaṭivedhaṃ pāpuṇāti.
对于修观业者，慧力强亦可，如是他可获得通达（无常、苦、无我）相。
Ñ: and one working on insight needs strong understanding, since that is how he reaches penetration of characteristics;
Ubhinnaṃ pana samatāyapi appanā hotiyeva.
如果定慧两者均等则可获得安止定。
Ñ: but with the balancing of the two he reaches absorption as well.
