Rasābhighātārahabhūtappasādalakkhaṇā,
sāyitukāmatānidānakammasamuṭṭhānabhūtappasādalakkhaṇā
vā jivhā, rasesu āviñchanarasā, jivhāviññāṇassa
ādhārabhāvapaccupaṭṭhānā,
sāyitukāmatānidānakammajabhūtapadaṭṭhānā.
(四)「舌」──以应与味接触的种净为相,或以欲尝因缘的业等起的种净为相。以牵引(舌识)于味中为味。以保持舌识为现起。以欲尝因缘的业而生的(四大)种为足处。
Ñ(XIV,40): 4. The tongue's
characteristic is sensitivity of primary elements that is ready for
the impact of flavours; or its characteristic is sensitivity of
primary elements originated by kamma sourcing from desire to taste.
Its function is to pick up [an object] among flavours. It is
manifested as the footing of tongue-consciousness. Its proximate
cause is primary elements born of kamma sourcing from desire to
taste.
