Visuddhimagga XIV-29

Apare āhu –

他人说：

Ñ(XIV,29): Others have said:

‘‘Pubbayogo bāhusaccaṃ, desabhāsā ca āgamo;

Paripucchā adhigamo, garusannissayo tathā;

Mittasampatti cevāti, paṭisambhidapaccayā’’ti.

宿行博学与方言，

圣教遍问与证得，

亲近良师及善友，

是为无碍解之缘。

Ñ: 'A prior effort, and great knowledge,

[Knowledge of] dialects, of scriptures,

And questioning, and then achievement,

And likewise waiting on a teacher,

Success in friends—these are conditions

Productive of discriminations'.
