Yadetaṃ ekamekaṃ dassetvā vuccamānaṃ anekehipi kappehi na sakkā asesato vattuṃ, tasmā taṃ sabbampi dukkhaṃ ekajalabindumhi sakalasamuddajalarasaṃ viya yesu kesuci pañcasu upādānakkhandhesu saṃkhipitvā dassetuṃ ‘‘saṃkhittena pañcupādānakkhandhā dukkhā’’ti bhagavā avocāti.
如果把苦一一来指示,则经多劫也说不完。正如取一滴水而代表全大海的水滴的味一样,世尊为了指示一切苦而简略于五取蕴中,所以说「略说五取蕴是苦」。
Ñ(XVI,60): It is impossible to tell it [all] without remainder, showing each kind of suffering, even [by going on doing so] for many aeons, so the Blessed One said 'In short the five aggregates [as objects] of clinging are suffering' in order to show in short how all that suffering is present in any of the five aggregates [as objects] of clinging in the same way that the taste of the water in the whole ocean is to be found in a single drop of its water.
Ayaṃ upādānakkhandhesu vinicchayo.
──这是五取蕴的决定说──
Ñ: This is the exposition of the aggregates [as objects] of clinging.
Ayaṃ tāva dukkhaniddese nayo.
以上先依苦的解释法。
Ñ: This, firstly, is the method for the description of suffering.
