Visuddhimagga VIII-77

‘‘Chahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu bhabbo anuttaraṃ sītibhāvaṃ sacchikātuṃ.

9)「诸比丘!具足六法的比丘,得证无上清凉。

Ñ(VIII,77): 9. This sutta deals with coolness: 'Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu possesses six things, he is able to realize the supreme coolness.



Katamehi chahi?

云何为六?

Ñ: What six?



Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ niggahetabbaṃ, tasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ niggaṇhāti.

诸比丘!兹有比丘,心当抑制之时,即抑制其心;

Ñ: Here, bhikkhus, when consciousness should be restrained, he restrains it;



Yasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ paggahetabbaṃ, tasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ paggaṇhāti.

心当策励之时,即策励其心;

Ñ: when consciousness should be exerted, he exerts it;



Yasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ sampahaṃsitabbaṃ, tasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ sampahaṃseti.

心当喜悦之时,即喜悦其心;

Ñ: when consciousness should be encouraged, he encourages it;



Yasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ ajjhupekkhitabbaṃ, tasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ ajjhupekkhati.

心当放舍之时,即放舍其心;

Ñ: when consciousness should be looked on at with equanimity, he looks on at it with equanimity.



Paṇītādhimuttiko ca hoti nibbānābhirato.

倾心于胜(道与果),及乐于涅盘。

Ñ: He is resolute on the superior [state to be attained], he delights in nibbāna.



Imehi kho, bhikkhave, chahi dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu bhabbo anuttaraṃ sītibhāvaṃ sacchikātu’’nti (a. ni. 6.85).

诸比丘!具足此六法的比丘,得证无上清凉」──

Ñ: Possessing these six things a bhikkhu is able to realize the supreme coolness' (A.iii,435).



Idaṃ suttaṃ anuttaraṃ sītibhāvoti veditabbaṃ.

当知此经是「清凉」。
