Visuddhimagga I-76

Pāribhaṭyatāti pāribhaṭyabhāvo. Yo hi kuladārake dhāti viya aṅkena vā khandhena vā paribhaṭati, dhāretīti attho.

「养育状」,[PTS 028] 意为养育的状态,他好像家庭的乳母,用腰或背而抱负。

Ñ(I,76): Fondling is the state of the act of fondling. [28] For when a man fondles children on his lap or on his shoulder like a nurse — he nurses, is the meaning — ,



Tassa paribhaṭassa kammaṃ pāribhaṭyuṃ. Pāribhaṭyassa bhāvo pāribhaṭyatāti.

其养育的行为是养育业,其养育的状态为养育状。

Ñ: that fondler's act is the act of fondling. The state of the act of fondling is fondling.



Visuddhimagga I-75

Anuppiyabhāṇitāti saccānurūpaṃ dhammānurūpaṃ vā anapaloketvā punappunaṃ piyabhaṇanameva.

「随爱语」,为不愿是否契合于理或契合于法,只是说些令人喜爱的话。

Ñ(I,75): Ingratiating chatter is endearing chatter repeated again and again without regard to whether it is in conformity with truth and Dhamma.



Cāṭukamyatāti nīcavuttitā attānaṃ heṭṭhato heṭṭhato ṭhapetvā vattanaṃ.

「谄谀」是卑下的行动,说话时总是把自己放得极低的地位。

Ñ: Flattery is speaking humbly, always maintaining an attitude of inferiority.



Muggasūpyatāti muggasūpasadisatā. Yathā hi muggesu paccamānesu kocideva na paccati, avasesā paccanti, evaṃ yassa puggalassa vacane kiñcideva saccaṃ hoti, sesaṃ alīkaṃ, ayaṃ puggalo muggasūpyoti vuccati. Tassa bhāvo muggasūpyatā.

「豆汤语」,意为像豆汤一样,譬如煮过的绿豆,有些是不可能煮熟的,其余的则熟了,同样的,他说的话,有一部分是真的,其余的却是虚妄的,这样的人称为豆汤者,他的状态就像豆汤一样。

Ñ: Bean-soupery is resemblance to bean soup; for just as when beans are being cooked only a few do not get cooked, the rest get cooked, so too the person in whose speech only a little is true, the rest being false, is called a 'bean soup'; his state is bean-soupery.
