Yā pana ‘‘upekkhāsahagatena cetasā ekaṃ disaṃ pharitvā viharatī’’ti (dī. ni. 1.556; ma. ni. 1.77) evamāgatā sattesu majjhattākārabhūtā upekkhā, ayaṃ brahmavihārupekkhā nāma.
（2）「与舍俱的心，遍满一方而住」，如是说则为对于诸有情的中正行相为舍，是名「梵住舍」。
