Visuddhimagga XIV-197

Atītādivibhāge panettha santativasena khaṇādivasena ca vedanāya atītānāgatapaccuppannabhāvo veditabbo.
其次于过去等的分别,这里亦依相续及剎那等而知有受的过去、未来、现在的状态。
[FEELING]
Ñ(XIV,197): In the classification (i)-(iii) into past, etc., the past, future, and present state of feeling should be understood according to continuity and according to moment and so on.


Tattha santativasena ekavīthiekajavanaekasamāpattipariyāpannā ekavīthivisayasamāyogappavattā ca paccuppannā, tato pubbe atītā, pacchā anāgatā.
此中:先「依相续」说即属于一路线、一速行、一等至所摄的受及于一种境而起的为现在;在以前的为过去,在以后的为未来。
Ñ: Herein, according to continuity, that included in a single cognitive series, a single impulsion, a single attainment, and that occurring in association with an objective field of one kind, is present. Before that is past. Subsequent is future.


Khaṇādivasena khaṇattayapariyāpannā pubbantāparantamajjhattagatā sakiccañca kurumānā vedanā paccuppannā, tato pubbe atītā, pacchā anāgatā.
次「依剎那等」说,即属于(生、住、灭)三剎那所摄的、及在前际后际的中间而行自己的作用的受为现在;在以前的为过去,在以后的为未来。
Ñ: According to moment, etc.: that feeling included in the trio of moments, which is in between the past time and the future time, and which is performing its own function, is present. Before that is past. Subsequent is future.
