2.根律仪戒

15. Yaṃ panetaṃ tadanantaraṃ ‘‘so cakkhunā rūpaṃ disvā’’tiādinā nayena dassitaṃ indriyasaṃvarasīlaṃ,

继前文之后又说：「彼人眼见色已……」等等，是显示根律仪戒。

Ñ(I,53): (b) Now as regards the virtue of restraint of faculties shown next to that in the way beginning 'on seeing a visible object with the eye',

tattha soti pātimokkhasaṃvarasīle ṭhito bhikkhu.

「彼人」，是指坚持别解脱律仪戒的比丘。

Ñ: herein, 'he' is a bhikkhu established in the virtue of Pātimokkha restraint.

Cakkhunā rūpaṃ disvāti kāraṇavasena cakkhūti laddhavohārena rūpadassanasamatthena cakkhuviññāṇena rūpaṃ disvā.

「眼见色已」，是由于有见色能力的眼识而见色已的意思。

Ñ: On seeing a visible object with the eye: on seeing a visible object with the eye-consciousness that is capable of seeing visible objects and has borrowed the name 'eye' from its instrument.

Porāṇā panāhu ‘‘cakkhu rūpaṃ na passati, acittakattā, cittaṃ na passati, acakkhukattā, dvārārammaṇasaṅghaṭṭe pana cakkhupasādavatthukena cittena passati.

然而古人说：「无心故眼不能见色，无眼故心亦不能见色；当（眼）门与所缘（之境）相接的时候，由于以眼净色为依止（而起）的心才能见色」。

Ñ: But the Ancients (Porāṇā) said: 'The eye does not see a visible object because it has no mind. The mind does not see because it has no eyes. But when there is the impingement of door and object he sees by means of the consciousness that has eye-sensitivity as its physical basis.

Īdisī panesā ‘dhanunā vijjhatī’tiādīsu viya sasambhārakathā nāma hoti, tasmā cakkhuviññāṇena rūpaṃ disvāti ayamevettha attho’’ti.

这种说法好像真的为见的原因论，正如有人（说射箭）说「我以弓射」一样。是故以眼识见色已便是这里的正确意义。

Ñ: Now (an idiom) such as this is called an "accessory locution" (sasambhārakathā), like "He shot him with his bow", and so on. So the meaning here is this: "On seeing a visible object with eye-consciousness" '.
