Visuddhimagga XXII-77

Yañca yena vajjhaṃ, taṃ tena pahātabbaṃ nāma. Tena vuttaṃ ‘‘iti etesaṃ saṃyojanādīnaṃ dhammānaṃ etāni yathāyogaṃ pahānakarānī’’ti.

而任何法是由彼智所断的,即是由那智所应断的。所以说:「此等四道智如理而断彼等的结等的诸法」。

Ñ(XXII,77): And what is eliminated by any one of them is abandoned by it. That is why it was said above, 'So these [four kinds of knowledge] each and severally abandon these states beginning with the fetters'.
