Tatrāyaṃ manasikāravidhi –

这是作意的规定:

Ñ(VIII,189): Here are the stages in giving attention to it:



223.

Gaṇanā anubandhanā, phusanā ṭhapanā sallakkhaṇā;

数,随逐,触,安住,观察,

Ñ: (1) counting, (2) connexion, (3) touching, (4) fixing, (5) observing,



Vivaṭṭanā pārisuddhi, tesañca paṭipassanāti.

还灭,遍净,及彼等的各别观。

Ñ: (6) turning away, (7) purification, and (8) looking back on these.



Tattha gaṇanāti gaṇanāyeva.

此中(1)数──算(出入息)。

Ñ: Herein, counting is just counting,



Anubandhanāti anuvahanā.

2)随逐──为随行。

Ñ: connexion is carrying on,



Phusanāti phuṭṭhaṭṭhānaṃ.

3)触──为触处。

Ñ: touching is the place touched [by the breaths],



Ṭhapanāti appanā.

4)安住──为安止。

Ñ: fixing is absorption,



Sallakkhaṇāti vipassanā.

5)观察──为毗钵舍那(观)。

Ñ: observing is insight,



Vivaṭṭanāti maggo.

6)还灭──为道。

Ñ: turning away is the path,



Pārisuddhīti phalaṃ.

7)遍净──为果。

Ñ: purification is fruition,



Tesañca paṭipassanāti paccavekkhaṇā.

彼等的各别观──为观察。

Ñ: looking back on these is reviewing.
