Visuddhimagga IX-18

Ekaccassa vacīsamācārova upasanto hoti.

(二)有的人只是语正行而寂静,

Ñ(IX,18): Another may be controlled in his verbal behaviour,

Upasantabhāvo cassa sabbajanena ñāyati.

一切人都知道他的寂静──

Ñ: and his control known to all—

So hi pakatiyā ca paṭisanthārakusalo hoti sakhilo sukhasambhāso sammodako uttānamukho pubbabhāsī madhurena sarena dhammaṃ osāreti, parimaṇḍalehi padabyañjanehi dhammakathaṃ katheti.

即他有天赋的殷勤待人的亲切语欢乐语,可喜的清朗语、感人语,以优美的声调说法及以完全的词句说法。

Ñ: he may naturally be clever at welcoming kindly, easy to talk with, congenial, open-countenanced, deferential in speech, and he may expound the Dhamma with a sweet voice and give explanations of Dhamma with well-rounded phrases and details—

Kāyasamācāramanosamācārā pana avūpasantā honti, tassa te acintetvā vacīsamācāravūpasamoyeva anussaritabbo.

然而他的身正行及意正行则不寂静,(瑜伽行者)不思念他的彼等二种,但念他的语正行寂静。

Ñ: though his bodily and mental behaviour are not controlled. Then the latter should be ignored and the control in his verbal behaviour remembered.
