Visuddhimagga IV-56

Ekādasadhammā pītisambojjhaṅgassa uppādāya saṃvattanti buddhānussati, dhamma… saṅgha… sīla… cāga… devatānussati, upasamānussati, lūkhapuggalaparivajjanatā, siniddhapuggalasevanatā, pasādaniyasuttantapaccavekkhaṇatā, tadadhimuttatāti.

Ñ(IV,56): Eleven things lead to the arising of the happiness enlightenment factor: the recollections (i) of the Buddha, (ii) of the Dhamma, (iii) of the Saṅgha, (iv) of virtue, (v) of generosity, and (vi) of deities, (vii) the recollection of peace, [133] (viii) avoidance of rough persons, (ix) cultivation of refined persons, (x) reviewing encouraging discourses, (xi) resoluteness upon that [happiness].

Han: It may be useful to put the numbers in the Pāḷi text also.

Ekādasadhammā pītisambojjhaṅgassa uppādāya saṃvattanti (i) buddhānussati, (ii) dhamma… (iii) saṅgha… (iv) sīla… (v) cāga… (vi) devatānussati, (vii) upasamānussati, (viii) lūkhapuggalaparivajjanatā, (ix) siniddhapuggalasevanatā, (x) pasādaniyasuttantapaccavekkhaṇatā, (xi) tadadhimuttatāti.

Iti imehi ākārehi ete dhamme uppādento dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgādayo bhāveti nāma. Evaṃ yasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ paggahetabbaṃ, tasmiṃ samaye cittaṃ paggaṇhāti.

于此等行相及此等诸法的生起,名为择法觉支等的修习。这便是「当策励于心之时即策励于心」。

Ñ: So by arousing these things in these ways he develops the investigation-of-states enlightenment factor, and the others. This is how he exerts the mind on an occasion when it should be exerted.
