Ko panettha kimāharatīti?

然而这四种中,是谁取来什么?

Ñ(XI,2): But what is it here that nourishes (brings on) what?



Kabaḷīkārāhāro ojaṭṭhamakaṃ rūpaṃ āharati.

即(一)段食取来以滋养素为第八的八种元素,

Ñ: Physical nutriment (kabaliṅkārāhāra) nourishes (brings on) the materiality of the octad that has nutritive essence as eighth.

Notes in Chinese translation: 滋养素第八(ojaṭṭhamaka),这八法名为纯八法(suddhaṭṭhamaka)或八法聚(aṭṭhadhammakalāpa),即地、水、火、风、色、香、味、滋养素,而滋养素为第八。



Phassāhāro tisso vedanā āharati.

(二)触食取来(苦乐舍的)三受,

Ñ: Contact as nutriment nourishes (brings on) the three kinds of feeling.



Manosañcetanāhāro tīsu bhavesu paṭisandhiṃ āharati.

(三)意思食取来于(欲、色、无色的)三有中结生,

Ñ: Mental volition as nutriment nourishes (brings on) rebirth-linking in the three kinds of becoming.



Viññāṇāhāro paṭisandhikkhaṇe nāmarūpaṃ āharati.

(四)识食取来于结生剎那的名色。

Ñ: Consciousness as nutriment nourishes (brings on) mentality-materiality at the moment of rebirth-linking.
