Visuddhimagga VII-77

Apica navavidhopi lokuttaradhammo yena yena adhigato hoti, tena tena parasaddhāya gantabbataṃ hitvā paccavekkhaṇañāṇena sayaṃ daṭṭhabboti sandiṭṭhiko.

其次依证得（四向四果及涅盘）九种出世间法的人，他们不是依照别人的信而行，而是各各依其观察智自见的，故为「自见」。

Ñ(VII,77): Furthermore, the ninefold supramundane Dhamma is also visible here and now, since when anyone has attained it, it is visible to him through reviewing knowledge without his having to rely on faith in another.
