Visuddhimagga VII-88

Imañca pana dhammānussatiṃ anuyutto bhikkhu evaṃ opaneyyikassa dhammassa desetāraṃ imināpaṅgena samannāgataṃ satthāraṃ neva atītaṃse samanupassāmi, na panetarahi aññatra tena bhagavatāti evaṃ dhammaguṇadassaneneva satthari sagāravo hoti sappatisso.

[PTS 218] 其次勤于法随念的比丘想：「演说如是引导的法及具足此等德支的师，除了世尊之外，我实在过去世未见，现在世亦未得见」，因他如是见于达摩之德，便尊敬于师，顺从于师，

Ñ(VII,88): [218] When a bhikkhu is devoted to this recollection of the Dhamma, he thinks: 'I never in the past met a master who taught a law that led onward thus, who possessed this talent, nor do I now see any such a master other than the Blessed One'. Seeing the Dhamma's special qualities in this way, he is respectful and deferential towards the Master.

Dhamme garucittīkāro saddhādivepullaṃ adhigacchati,

尊重恭敬于法，得至于广大的信等，

Ñ: He entertains great reverence for the Dhamma and attains fullness of faith, and so on.

pītipāmojjabahulo hoti,

并成多喜悦，

Ñ: He has much happiness and gladness.

bhayabheravasaho, dukkhādhivāsanasamattho, dhammena saṃvāsasaññaṃ paṭilabhati,

征服怖畏恐惧而得安忍于苦痛，又得与法同住之想，

Ñ: He conquers fear and dread. He is able to endure pain. He comes to feel as if he were living in the Dhamma's presence.

dhammaguṇānussatiyā ajjhāvutthañcassa sarīrampi cetiyagharamiva pūjārahaṃ hoti,

且因他的身中常存法德随念，所以他的身体亦如塔庙一样的值得供养，

Ñ: And his body, when the recollection of the Dhamma's special qualities dwells in it, becomes as worthy of veneration as a shrine room.

anuttaradhammādhigamāya cittaṃ namati,

又因他的心向证于无上之法，

Ñ: His mind tends towards the realization of the peerless Dhamma.

vītikkamitabbavatthusamāyoge cassa dhammasudhammataṃ samanussarato hirottappaṃ paccupaṭṭhāti.

纵有关于犯罪的对象现前，而他亦能随念于法的善法性，生起惭愧。

Ñ: When he encounters an opportunity for transgression, he has vivid awareness of conscience and shame on recollecting the well-regulatedness of the Dhamma.

Uttari appaṭivijjhanto pana sugatiparāyano hoti.

他虽然不通达上位，但来世亦得善趣。

Ñ: And if he penetrates no higher, he is at least headed for a happy destiny.

Tasmā have appamādaṃ, kayirātha sumedhaso;

Evaṃ mahānubhāvāya, dhammānussatiyā sadāti.

真实的善慧者，

应对于如是

有大威力的法随念，

常作不放逸之行。

Ñ: Now when a man is truly wise,

His constant task will surely be

Blessed with such mighty potency.

Idaṃ dhammānussatiyaṃ vitthārakathāmukhaṃ.
