（三）僧随念

[(3) RECOLLECTION OF THE SAṄGHA]

154. Saṅghānussatiṃ bhāvetukāmenāpi rahogatena paṭisallīnena

若欲修习僧随念的人，当独居静处，

Ñ(VII,89): One who wants to develop the recollection of the Community should go into solitary retreat

‘‘suppaṭipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgho, ujuppaṭipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgho, ñāyappaṭipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgho, sāmīcippaṭipanno bhagavato sāvakasaṅgho, yadidaṃ cattāri purisayugāni aṭṭha purisapuggalā, esa bhagavato sāvakasaṅgho āhuneyyo, pāhuneyyo, dakkhiṇeyyo, añjalikaraṇīyo, anuttaraṃ puññakkhettaṃ lokassā’’ti (a. ni. 6.10) evaṃ ariyasaṅghaguṇā anussaritabbā.

随念如是圣僧伽的功德：「世尊的声闻众是善行道的，世尊的声闻众是正直行道的，世尊的声闻众是真理行道的，世尊的声闻众是正当行道的，即四双八辈的世尊的声闻众，是可供养者，可供奉者，可施者，可合掌者，为世间无上的福田」。

Ñ: and recollect the special qualities of the community of noble ones as follows: 'The community of the Blessed One's disciples has entered on the good way, the community of the Blessed One's disciples has entered on the straight way, the community of the Blessed One's disciples has entered on the true way, the community of the Blessed One's disciples has entered on the proper way, that is to say, the four pairs of men, the eight persons; this community of the Blessed One's disciples is fit for gifts, fit for hospitality, fit for offerings, fit for reverential salutation, as an incomparable field of merit for the world' (A.iii,286).
