Visuddhimagga VII-25

Evaṃ sabbathāpi –

再综合的说：

Ñ(VII,25): So in all ways:

Ārakattā hatattā ca, kilesārīna so muni;

Hatasaṃsāracakkāro, paccayādīna cāraho;

Na raho karoti pāpāni, arahaṃ tena vuccatīti.

因为牟尼的远离，

杀了一切烦恼的贼，

破了轮回车轮的辐，

应受资具等的供养，

又无秘密的行恶，

所以称他阿罗汉。

Ñ: The Sage of remoteness unalloyed,

Vanquished defiling foes deployed,

The spokes of rebirth's wheel destroyed,

Worthy of requisites employed,

Secret evil he does avoid:

For these five reasons he may claim

This word 'accomplished' for his name.
