Visuddhimagga II-42

Nānābhājanavikkhepaṃ, hitvā okkhittalocano;

Khaṇanto viya mūlāni, rasataṇhāya subbato.

眼观自己的钵不乱于多器,

食行善者巧把爱味的根掘[jué]

Ñ(II,42): He baffles doubts that might arise

With extra dishes; downcast eyes

The true devotedness imply

Of one uprooting gluttony[ˈglʌtni:].

Sarūpaṃ viya santuṭṭhiṃ, dhārayanto sumānaso;

Paribhuñjeyya āhāraṃ, ko añño pattapiṇḍikoti.

显然可见知足的喜悦,

一钵食者之食谁能食!

Ñ: Wearing content as if 'twere part

Of his own nature, glad at heart;

None but a bowl-food eater may

Consume his food in such a way.

Ayaṃ pattapiṇḍikaṅge samādānavidhānappabhedabhedānisaṃsavaṇṇanā.

这是一钵食支的受持、规定、区别、破坏、功德的解释。

Ñ: This is the commentary on the undertaking, directions, grades, breach, and benefits, in the case of the bowl-food-eater's practice. [71]
