3. Piṇḍapātikaṅgakathā

三、常乞食支

26.Piṇḍapātikaṅgampi ‘‘atirekalābhaṃ paṭikkhipāmi, piṇḍapātikaṅgaṃ samādiyāmī’’ti imesaṃ aññataravacanena samādinnaṃ hoti.

(受持)于「我今禁止余分之食,我今受持常乞食支」的二语之中,用任何一语即得受持常乞食支。

Ñ(II,27): iii. The alms-food-eater's practice is undertaken with one of the following statements: 'I refuse a supplementary [food] supply' or 'I undertake the alms-food-eater's practice'.



Tena pana piṇḍapātikena ‘‘saṅghabhattaṃ, uddesabhattaṃ, nimantanabhattaṃ, salākabhattaṃ, pakkhikaṃ, uposathikaṃ, pāṭipadikaṃ, āgantukabhattaṃ, gamikabhattaṃ, gilānabhattaṃ, gilānupaṭṭhākabhattaṃ, vihārabhattaṃ, dhurabhattaṃ, vārakabhatta’’nti etāni cuddasa bhattāni na sāditabbāni.

(规定)常乞食者,对于僧伽食,指定食,招待食,行筹食,月分食,布萨食,初日食,来者(客)食,出发者食,病者食,看病者食,精舍食(村)前(家)食,时分食等十四种食不能接受。

僧伽食(Saṅgha-bhatta)是供养僧伽的食物(《解脱道论》「僧次食」)。

指定食(uddesabhatta)是指定给某些少数比丘的食物。

招待食(nimantanabhatta)由邀请而供养的食物。

行筹食(salākabhatta)是由中筹者而得的食物。

月分食(pakkhika)即于每月的满月或缺月中的一天而施的食物。

布萨食(uposathika)(《解脱道论》「行筹食,十五日食,布萨食」)。

初日食(pāṭipadika)是每半月的第一日所供的食。

精舍食(vihārabhatta)是供与精舍之食。

村前家食(dhurabhatta)是经常放在村前之家作布施之食(《解脱道论》「寺食,常住食」)。

时分食(vārakabhatta)是村人每日轮流所供之食。



Ñ: Now this alms-food eater should not accept the following fourteen kinds of meal: a meal offered to the Order, a meal offered to specified bhikkhus, an invitation, a meal given by a ticket, one each half-moon day, one each Uposatha day, one each first of the half-moon, a meal given for visitors, a meal for travellers, a meal for the sick, a meal for sick-nurses, a meal supplied to a [particular] residence, a meal given in a principal house, a meal given in turn.

Sayādaw U Sīlānanda: [principal house = first house in the village].


Han: The translation by Mahāsī Sayādaw is the same as that of Sayādaw U Sīlānanda.


Han: Here also, Mahāsī Sayādaw put the numbers.


(i) saṅghabhattaṃ, (ii) uddesabhattaṃ, (iii) nimantanabhattaṃ, (iv) salākabhattaṃ, (v) pakkhikaṃ, (vi) uposathikaṃ, (vii) pāṭipadikaṃ, (viii) āgantukabhattaṃ, (ix) gamikabhattaṃ, (x) gilānabhattaṃ, (xi) gilānupaṭṭhākabhattaṃ, (xii) vihārabhattaṃ, (xiii) dhurabhattaṃ (xiv) vārakabhatta’’nti


(i) a meal offered to the Order, (ii) a meal offered to specified bhikkhus, (iii) an invitation, (iv) a meal given by a ticket, (v) one each half-moon day, (vi) one each Uposatha day, (vii) one each first of the half-moon, (viii) a meal given for visitors, (ix) a meal for travellers, (x) a meal for the sick, (xi) a meal for sick-nurses, (xii) a meal supplied to a [particular] residence, (xiii) a meal given in a principal house,11 (xiv) a meal given in turn.



Sace pana ‘‘saṅghabhattaṃ gaṇhathā’’tiādinā nayena avatvā ‘‘amhākaṃ gehe saṅgho bhikkhaṃ gaṇhātu, tumhepi bhikkhaṃ gaṇhathā’’ti vatvā dinnāni honti, tāni sādituṃ vaṭṭanti.

如果不是用「请取僧伽食」等的说法,而易之用「僧伽在我家中取施食、大德亦可取施食」的说法而施,则他可以接受。

Ñ: If, instead of saying 'Take a meal given to the Order', [meals] are given saying 'The Order is taking alms in our house; you may take alms too', it is allowable to consent.



Saṅghato nirāmisasalākāpi vihāre pakkabhattampi vaṭṭatiyevāti idamassa vidhānaṃ.

由僧伽行筹而给他的非食(非饭食的药物)或精舍内所炊[chuī]之食亦可接受。这是规定。

Ñ: Tickets from the Order that are not for actual food, and also a meal cooked in a monastery, are allowable as well. These are the directions for it.
